Natürliche und pflanzliche Baustoffe
Rohstoff – Bauphysik – Konstruktion
by Gerhard Holzmann
„Natürliche und pflanzliche Baustoffe“ deals with all important renewable, vegetable raw materials from fiber and dye plants and the associated physical and chemical principles. In addition to numerous common and possible raw material plants, the authors also explain extensive physical and chemical aspects for craft, industry and construction planning.
Resource and environmental protection are addressed as well as pollutants from building products. In addition to detailed information on possible uses and processing on the construction site, practical examples from industry round off the range of topics.
For the majority of the book, research was carried out on site, with farmers, the processing industry and processors in Europe and Asia. The design of the texts was written completely independently and neutrally by the team of authors.
With which this work explains the pure building and raw materials, their processing as well as the physical and chemical (building biological) aspects. This makes the work safe to use for all teaching and teaching units in the subject area.
For the 2nd edition, the chapters: Chemical basics, bamboo, the thatched roof, dye plants and various recipes for textile dyeing, but also for glazes, waxes and wall paints have been edited.
